Shops, Pubs & Other information about Crich

Standcliffe Mews is situated at the top of the village of Crich                              in the grounds of Standcliffe House                                                                             the population is around 3000 residents                                                                       and is a mile from one end of the village to the other.

The Cliff Inn is the nearest Pub to Standcliffe Mews just past the Tramway Museum on your Right.  A traditional Pub serving Real Ale and Good Food.  The Friday night raffle is very popular with many prizes to win.

Moving down the village from Town End and Walking Past St Mary's Church on your left we come to Crich Cross , which is were regular cattle markets were held a century ago, Today it is a busy    cross road for all the traffic that passes through the village. The Former Pub "The Jovial Dutch" which closed about two years ago as a public House is now a Holiday Let for up to 12 people.

Walking down  Bowns Hill past Crich Infant School on your right you will pass the Former "Mount Tabor Chapel"  on your left which is now a private residence. Towards the bottom of the hill you will find the "Black Swan" on your left. This is one of three Pubs left in the village and serves Beer and Meals.

Moving into Crich Market Place walking round in a clockwise direction we pass the Post Office , then the recently opened Jeera Indian Resteraunt and next door is Crich Mini Market. Further along there is Crich Butchers.

A little further on is a Gallery on your left and "The Loaf on your right which has a Tea Room and bakes there own Breadand is very popular for visitors.

Coming back into the Market Place (Which used to be the Chemist Shop) , we now have a Habidashers, walking past the Horse Troughs Near the Red Telephone Box we pass the seats were the locals pass the time of day and finally we pass the Hairdressers.

Crich Glebe Field Centre

The Glebe Field Centre is up the Road Past the Telephone Box known as Coast Hill and here you will find a New Doctors Surgery and Chemist and Community Centre                      with many different activities taking place..

Kings Arms

If you take the Road past the Loaf and walk down the Common for about 300 Mtrs you will come to the Kings Arms. They do not serve food but offer a selection of fine ales and usually have some entertainment on at the weekend.
